Nicole Sheppard | Psychodynamic Business Coach
One of my favourite projects to work on has been brand photography for Nicole Sheppard. Nicole is a psychodynamic life and business coach who required brand imagery for the launch of her new website. The brief I received from Nicole for this project was to take energetic images in various locations in Brighton, to bring out her authentic personality, fun character and megawatt smile.
Nicole and I had a discovery call that transformed into an hour-long phone call, during which we discussed themes, locations, and the possible outcomes she was looking for. Nicole really wanted to convey her natural, fun energy and infectious personality. It was during this call that I found out a lot more about Nicole and her coaching services. What she offers really resonated with me on a conscious level. Following this call, I shared a Pinterest board which we both added ideas to, so that we were on the same page in our thinking.
We hired a meeting room with contemporary-style furniture for Nicole’s four-hour photoshoot. We then walked through the vibrant streets of Brighton, onwards to Brighton pier and the West pier. When we saw an opportunity with a desired backdrop setting, we would stop and capture the moment. A variety of candid and posed photographs were taken of Nicole in her various outfits. The retouched images were sent to her via an online gallery, in colour and black and delivered within 7 days of the shoot.
The main challenge we faced during this photoshoot was the timing. It was very close to midday and the sun was really bright and harsh when we began our photoshoot on the seafront. We had to demonstrate flexibility and move things around, concentrating on the indoor meeting room location. After a couple of hours, we were able to move outdoors again. The weather can often pose a challenge in photoshoots, but working around it is something I take in my stride!
Together, Nicole and I worked on changing my mindset in terms of self-worth and value. Through her methods of visualisation, breath-work and manifestation, I was able to look inwards at what was holding me back from being the creator I am in terms of making my business my full-time occupation. Once we identified some areas, it was a case of acknowledging some experiences in my past and allowing myself to be grateful for those experiences, rather than viewing them with regret.
By the end of our sessions, I had the tools to make some changes which enabled me to look forward to the future; a future of creativity and abundance! I cannot recommend Nicole highly enough. I believe I have removed all my self-imposed limitations and doubt. I now reject procrastination and feel free to fulfil all my dreams and goals.
Brand photography results: Nicole now has a colourful website that reflects her personality and brand. She continues to have consistent enquiries and new prospects engaging, with a view to working with her. The imagery significantly helped showcase the premium nature of her business and has attracted the right type of clients who want to improve their state of mind and business.
